The RazorSecure Digital Maintenance Gateway (DMG) is designed to meet the maintenance requirements of a modern digital train by enabling engineers to complete their tasks quickly and efficiently through automation, provides access to secure remote assistance and eliminates dedicated service laptops and USB sticks.
The DMG is a holistic digital maintenance solution, taking over the management of software maintenance tools and updating files. Engineers are guaranteed working software tools, the update files that they need to complete their tasks and remote assistance from skilled engineers at the click of a button.
Through a direct integration with the train systems, the DMG enables secure local and remote access, with each engineer provided with unique credentials with MFA support. Remote access can be provided through a direct LTE connection or through existing connectivity solutions.

DfT TRIG Digital Maintenance Project
In 2022, RazorSecure worked with the University of Birmingham BCRRE to demonstrate a proof of concept solution for secure maintenance operations capable of integration with legacy and new build rail vehicles, to protect the integrity and reliability of rail passenger services. This was funded by the UK Department for Transport TRIG (Transport Research and Innovation Grant) and supported by Connected Places Catapult. The project ran from March 2022 to September 2022.
